Professor Heike Laman

Prof Heike Laman graduated from the University of Miami with her Bachelor of Science and her PhD in Microbiology and Immunology from Columbia University in New York.

She was awarded a post-doctoral fellowship from the Imperial Cancer Research Fund and worked as a Senior Research Fellow at University College London.

She won an Early Career Research Fellowship to start her independent laboratory at the University of Cambridge in the Department of Pathology, where she is now Professor in Molecular and Cellular Biology and the Head of Department.
