Dr Kate Wheeler, Executive Team & Medical Trustee

Kate has been a consultant paediatric oncologist in the Oxford Children's Hospital since 1995. She has specialised in neuroblastoma and from 2010 to 2016 was the chair of the UK NCRI Children's Cancer and Leukaemia Neuroblastoma group.

She has also been the UK representative on the European Neuroblastoma SIOPEN Executive group ( 2013 to 2016). She is a member of the writing committee and Co Principal Investigator of the SIOPEN Low and Intermediate Risk Neuroblastoma Trial, the UK lead paediatric oncologist for the SIOPEN Opsoclonus Myoclonus Study and Chair of the Data Monitoring Committee for the BEACON Trial. Kate joined Neuroblastoma UK as a Medical Trustee in 2013.
