FUNDRAISING IN SCHOOL

Calling all parents, pupils and teachers!

Get your school raising money for Neuroblastoma UK and help save young lives.

Around two children are diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a rare and aggressive childhood cancer, every week in the UK. That’s more than three classrooms every year. Most children diagnosed are under five and may need intensive treatment including surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy, all before they reach school age.

But with our fun and simple fundraising activities for kids, teachers and parents, we can all fight childhood cancer together.

Wear Yellow to School day

Invite your school to raise money by donating £1 to Wear Yellow for one day!

It’s easy as 1,2,3…

1. Pick a date for your Wear Yellow day. Fridays or the last day of term work well.

2. Let parents and pupils know when it’s happening. Download our fundraising posters to display around school or share with parents.

3. Encourage pupils to bring in £1 to dress head to toe in yellow, or just pop on a yellow T-shirt or socks!

More ways to get involved

There are lots of ways for your school to support Neuroblastoma UK.

We’ve shared some of our favourite school fundraising ideas that can make a big difference in the fight against childhood cancer.

You can also download our fundraising pack which includes noticeboard posters to display around your school.

  • Fundraising fete: Ask for donations at your next school performance or fete. We can provide collection buckets to collect loose change.

  • Get active: Encourage pupils to get active by getting sponsored. Decide on the challenge and set a target. It can be anything from taking steps or swimming pool lengths, to doing star jumps or skipping. We can supply a sponsor form.

  • Hold an art competition: Simply ask for a small donation from each entry. The winner keeps half the money, and the other half is donated to Neuroblastoma UK!

  • Have a bake sale. Ask pupils to bring in home made cookies and cakes to sell in school. The proceeds can be donated to Neuroblastoma UK. Download our fundraising pack for some cake decorations and a collection box.
