What you’ll get

Every Santa runner will get their very own Santa Suit, running number and Santa in the CIty limited edition medal. We’ll support you with your fundraising along the way.

The Route

The route is relatively flat and you can run, jog or walk this fun 5k!

Santa in the City starts at the top of New Walk, by the Belmont Hotel.

At 6.45pm there will be a Santa Parade and then you’ll start your run at approximately 6.55pm.

You will begin by running down New Walk towards the City centre, past the Museum and Art Gallery, Leicester Mercury building and towards the historic Leicester Cathedral and Richard III visitor centre.

The Santa in the City route then takes you past St Martins House, BBC Radio Leicester and through Jubilee Square. You will then turn into High Street and run past the retail outlets, eateries and HighCross Shopping Centre, where you will be cheered on by many of the Christmas late night shoppers!

You’ll complete a loop in the City Centre before finally passing the Leicester City Centre Market, The Foxes Club Shop and then to the finish line just beyond the Haymarket Memorial Clocktower. A truly unique and iconic route!
