Research Appreciation Day 2023

Research Appreciation Day 2023

Wednesday 5th July 2023 saw the launch of the first Research Appreciation Day, a new annual awareness day to celebrate the hard work of health researchers from across disciplines.

Without research, it's just guesswork

From smaller grants for pilot studies through to larger grants for pre-clinical and clinical trials, we fund the most promising neuroblastoma research with the greatest potential for children with this rare and aggressive cancer.

Thanks to your support, we have funded nearly £9 million of neuroblastoma research to advance our understanding of neuroblastoma, accelerate drug development and make breakthroughs in treatment.

Yet, despite our very best efforts, research into neuroblastoma remains critically under-funded in the UK. More research is desperately needed to improve treatment for children with neuroblastoma and save more young lives.

“Give research the credit it’s due”

It’s time to give research the credit it’s due. Because without research, it’s just guesswork.

Thank you to all the amazing scientists, healthcare professionals and researchers working hard to find a cure for neuroblastoma. #WithoutResearchItsJustGuesswork.

Read our Impact Report 2022 to find out how we are making a difference to children with neuroblastoma and their families.

Research Appreciation Day was launched by MQ Mental Health Research to celebrate their 10th year of investing in ground-breaking research for different mental health conditions and their treatments.
